Red-brown Nephrite Jade Toad Carving/Pendant

This charming pendant is hand-carved from natural nephrite jade in the form of a plump, squatting toad — one of the most beloved auspicious symbols in Chinese culture, associated with wealth, good luck, and the legendary "Money Toad" (金蟾) that is said to attract prosperity and abundance.

The stone is a rich olive-brown with warm amber undertones, and features a striking natural white patch across the toad's back — a beautiful example of the carver's skill in working with the stone's natural coloration (俧色).
